Reluctant

I haven't been blogging for quite some time now. I'm not sure if it's because I am bored with it or I just don't want to. I was talking to a blobby friend the other day and she said she thinks it is a fad that she thinks is just over. So here is my question for you...
Do you feel that the magic is gone?
Are you still blogging?
Are you still reading blogs?
What makes you come back to read the same blogs?
What keeps you interested in bloggingnyourself?

Still blogging for the same reasons...
Grandparents are out of state and it makes for a fabulous book at the end of the year for me to remember and record the little details with photographs!!

I blog to keep family and friends up to date on the happenings here at home. I'm not very good at it, but Elaine reminds me once in a while to put something on it. Facebook seems to take precedence too many times.

Hi Sarah,
I have only been blogging since last June and I wouldn't take anything for my blog friends. Usually I have a really tough time getting through the holidays but this past season was so much better because of the support from my blog family. I return to their blogs every day because I truely care about them and what is going on in their lives. I welcome you to check out my blog and I really hope to see a lot more of you on here in the days to come. :)

I have several blogs (as in 4)! They're all for different reasons. In all seriousness, I could have more than that since I like to categorize things. My own blogs help me to organize my thoughts and reflect on what life throws my way (I have one specifically for teaching, which is the only private one). I enjoy the well roundedness of the blog medium in that it's a nice record of the written word, plus pictures, and friends/family comments/input. Of course the really personal stories and thoughts are in a private, hand-written journal, which I've gotten into the habit of writing in every night before bed.

As for reading other peoples, there are a few reasons I read them. Some are direct friends (people I know in person) and I am therefore interested in what they are up to in between the times I get to visit with them in person/on the phone. Some, I've met through internet associations, and some I just happen to find interesting ("next blog" - kind of like a good book, but also a living story that keeps growing), and some just because I'm a little nosy sometimes, hmmm...is that bad?

Does that answer your question? And hey! This answer might make a good post so don't be surprised to see it on my site too, lol!

I've most def lost most of my blogging mojo. Too much life - too fast and quite frankly the negative and hateful comments that got spewed my way serio makes me more than reluctant.

BUT - it is my journal and MY space and I can control what happens to it.

Happy blogging!

Blogging.... still doing it a bit, but not the same verve. I think FB takes up a lot of it, because there is a more immediate response.

Blogging is mostly a hobby for me that I've been doing since 2006.

The magic isn't gone, but sometimes I feel like there's only a spark. LOL I do still blog, but not everyday like I use to. And I have just a few blogs that I read everyday. I use to have about fifty that I read everyday, but now I read about five a day. I go back because the blog authors are usually someone I have the most in common with. Or maybe it's their crafty ideas. Sometimes their recipes. I like blogging because it's an outlet for me. As a stay at home, home school mom, I get a lot of my fellowship with other moms through blogging. It's been a blessing.
And yeah, I think fb takes up a lot of bloggers also. I love it there, too. LOL

For me, Facebook took over. Blogging is somewhat social and I loved it when I first started doing it. But then I discovered Facebook and it was difficult to get back into it. I have found here, lately, that I am enjoying the bloggy world again. It's not a chore. It's just something I do for me. And that's the way it should be. And if others are blessed, encouraged, or inspired, that's just icing on the cake!
